Start your adventure with a Forest walk in Mabira Forest. Mabira Forest is one of the few places in Uganda where you can see Mangabey Monkeys and there are three habituated groups which can be tracked with guides who were a part of the habituation process. After lunch, explore the source of the Nile cruising around the first few kilometers of the Nile search along the shores and small islands for birds, otters and Nile monitor lizards. You will visit the origin of the Nile, at this site, history unfolds itself. This is where a British Explorer John Speke first discovered the River Nile, stand where he stood and you may take a picture with the monument. Also visit the site where you will find the plaque of Mahatma Gandhi, some of whose ashes were scattered into the river following his death in 1948.
