Tour Itinerary 12 Days Uganda Honeymoon Tour
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will receive a warm welcome by our trusted Uganda Honeymoon Tour. Your private driver/guide will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Accommodation and Meals at Hotel No 5
Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, start the Uganda Honeymoon Tour with a transfer to Fort Portal, with lunch en route. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for its many tea plantations. From this lovely town, we will continue to Kibale National Park while passing the region of the Crater Lakes.
Accommodation and Meals at Crater Safari Lodge ** A complimentary bottle of wine will be available in the room. **
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Relaxation
After breakfast, enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey, and many others. The treks are generally 3-4 hours; expect good sightings of chimps in their natural environment. A maximum of 6 people per group will head out with a forest ranger guide and will be allowed to track chimpanzees. After the trek, relax at Crater Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a delicious breakfast, we calmly transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for Lunch. After lunch, you may go for a game drive in search of the first wildlife, including warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants, OR relax at the lodge.

Day 5: Lion Experiential Project and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise.
After breakfast, head for the lion research project that allows visitors to participate in monitoring the pride in the park, using locator devices and learning habituation calls, as well as monitoring weather, surroundings, and behavior. The Lion Project involves the clients and the researchers heading as early as 6:30 am with a safari vehicle equipped with radio-collar-receiving equipment to keep track of the lions. In the afternoon, have a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes, and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park
After breakfast we head towards the south, passing the southern sector of the National Park. This part is called Ishasha and is famous for the tree-climbing lions. After a short game drive in this area, you and your partner continue the Uganda Honeymoon Tour with a transfer to Bwindi. While driving through verdant countryside, you will pass traditional homesteads and enjoy panoramic views. You will arrive in the early evening at Bwindi National Park, the home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking
Following breakfast, transfer to the national park offices where you will be allocated a gorilla family in groups of 8 as well as a gorilla tracking guide. After a pre-tracking briefing by your guide touching on the gorillas generally, your assigned gorilla family as well as appropriate safety precautions, you drive to the trailhead for the start of a thrilling adventure. Expect to walk between 2 and 8 hours in steep and slippery conditions at times with rain overhead, which can be quite a challenge so you require to be reasonably fit. These magnificent animals live in small troops, each within its own defined boundaries and each with several females and their young being led by a single dominant male, the magnificent ‘Silverback’. Upon sighting the gorillas, you spend the allowed one hour with them as they go about their daily life; feeding, moving around, playing, and grooming– it is a totally unique and unforgettable experience! Thereafter head back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 8: Bwindi National Park – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, we depart the impenetrable forest of Bwindi and head to Lake Mburo National Park. As we enter the park it is likely that you will spot some wildlife. After checking in you will go for a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the rich birdlife and the many hippos. Or you may decide to relax in the afternoon and enjoy an exciting night game drive after dinner, with chances of finding the elusive leopard or hyenas. Accommodation and Meals at Mihingo Lodge

Day 9: Lake Mburo National Park –Entebbe
Early start of the Uganda Honeymoon Tour day as we go for a nature walk guided by a ranger, the best way to see the wildlife from a close distance. Return to the lodge for breakfast and with a game drive on our way out we depart the protected area. Transfer to Entebbe overnight at Hotel No 5
Day 10: Kampala – River Nile
Enjoy a calm breakfast and some relaxing moments at the hotel before we transfer to the east. Situated on a remote island of 6.5 hectares and nestled between the rapids of the river Nile you will find your accommodation for the last two nights. A small paradise to end your safari in a relaxing way! In the afternoon possibility to make use of a special spa treatment. Accommodation and Meals at WildWaters Lodge (B-L-D)

Day 11: River Nile
A full Uganda Honeymoon Tour day to relax and unwind at the origin of the Nile! Those who wish to experience some adventure can decide to go rafting the Source of the Nile (optional). Other optional activities include a quad bike safari along the shores of the Nile, horseback riding, or rafting on the Nile. Accommodation and Meals at WildWaters Lodge.
Day 12: River Nile – Entebbe – Departure
Time to say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa! Enjoy the beauty of the Nile one more time before we transfer back to Entebbe. In time you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight back home.
